Session description

This session will describe how WordPress was used as part of a 10-week professional development offering through a provincially accredited (in BC) program for faculty development on the topic media for higher education. Keep takeaways include:

  • How WordPress enhances delivery of program as a learning topic
  • How WordPress enhances delivery of program as part of how the program is taught
  • Insights and lessons from faculty use of WordPress
  • Lessons learned for next iteration of the program

I will discuss lessons learned and share insights to inform the next version of this offering, as well as similar offerings in the future.

Dr. Matthew Stranach is Coordinator, Educational Technologies with Thompson Rivers University's Open Learning division in Kamloops, BC, Canada. Originally from Fredericton, New Brunswick he holds an M.Ed specializing in Instructional Design from University of New Brunswick, and an Ed.D focussing on Eductional Technology. He has 10+ years' experience as an educator, instructional designer, and learning technologist. He is also Ethan and Kai's dad.
